Filmmaking / Directing : Has anyone tried Indiegogo? This is my first attempt at it... by J Blair Brown

I have but admit I didn't do a lot to push it out, so for me it wasn't that successful...and I'm kind of glad as that project was shelved for the time being.

Thanks for your response, Debbie. I've been doing some research on Indiegogo. I know that Kickstarter seems to be more popular and wanted to know of any other experiences. Hopefully you'll be able to get that project off the shelf and up and running soon. Thanks again.

Neither service will do anything by itself; you have to bring people to the site and compel them to participate. You need to be tenacious no matter which of the 2 you use. Find your core audience and start going after them like there is no tomorrow. What makes your project stand out over the thousands of other projects competing for the funds? You may want to review similar projects and see what the successful ones are doing. And I wish you best of luck with your project.
