Ever since they split "instant" and DVD about 70% of the titles for which I search are "unavailable" (AKA DVD only). I am sure that many movies that once were instant watch titles are now on the separate DVD service only. I am most interested in docs but occasionally I'd like to see narrative films. For example, I want to watch "Minority Report" for ideas/clips to be used in a doc on government surveillance. "Unavailable." Coping with bouts of nostalgia, I'd like to see some of the original James Bond films, etc. There are a few others I'd sometimes like to watch simply for entertainment. My question: Is there a reasonably priced (under $10/month) web service that will give me a wider selection?
Try: http://www.freedocumentaries.org/ for your docs. They are a free legal site that has older docs and just takes donations as people are able.
