To be a great actor I think you need to be working on your craft all the time, like an athlete going to the gym and training. I am looking for other actors and a good director in my area (north devon) that I can meet with on a regular basis so we can work together in an 'actors workshop' type environment. No specific production / performance aims, just focused on our development as actors. I am not talking Am-Dram here, I have been down that road and found that people tend to be more focused on the end result rather than the development, which I feel actually stifles any real emotional development or breakthrough in craft. I want to hook up with other people who want play serious, I have attended some excellent workshops around the country, including recently a method acting course, which was mind blowing. I am also looking into my options to get a lot more training in the method. But in between any training I want to meet with other liked minded people and work together One thing I have learned is that you need to be working on your craft all the time, just like an athlete who works to stay in shape, otherwise you stop developing. Do you agree? Do you want to find someone who is keen to work for the works sake, do you want to be a better actor and are you committed to ongoing development? I am and I want to meet with you. Are you a director who wants to help? Again for the same reason, work for development sake not for an end result, get in touch, lets all grow together. I'm not afraid to get out of my comfort zone and I am open. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
