Any tips out there for someone new to animation? I'm getting ready to start my first ever cartoon series. Any advice whatsoever is appreciated. I'm a cartoonist looking for any kind of tricks or software solutions to make this process as painless as possible. I've tried SAI, GIMP, and Photoshop for starters. I use a Wacom, Intuos 4 drawing tablet.

Hello Justin, I am new also and so far all I have used is Anime studios, which is difficult to a newcomer, what are you using
Hi Joel! I'm trying to decide whether Photoshop is the right approach. So far... for animation that is, I hate it. I like SAI a lot better. I'll have to look into Anime Studios. What are you currently working on?
The only program I have used in Anime studios, it has a difficult learning curve but has many tools. From what I can tell from observation it is most similar to Abode flash.
Justin message me i work for Dark Horse Comic looks us up and maybe we can discuss business if your doing what were looking for
Hi Justin, Try using Flash... or for the very easy stuff just use Toon Boom's Animate-Ish.
Thanks JoAnn! I'm going to look into it.

You are welcome Justin... Anytime.
Justin, animation tends to be painful. Think about embracing that. As a cartoonist, what are the assets that can make your work really stand out? Bring those parts to the forefront. It might not end up being some super-clean pixar piece, but a film's personality brings attention in indie animation.
