Filmmaking / Directing : Dramedy Short Film - "CakeWalk" by John Ryan Kelmer

http://vimeo.com/62685968 Hi Everyone! My name is John from Tampa, FL and this is my first somewhat-actual short film (*aka my first with my non-acting friends being forced to join my stupid idea). The only reason I made it was because my friend let me use his music and to finally try the “stop-talking” approach and just film something. I didn’t imagine filming on the RED Epic and getting some really nice, hardworking local actors who had no reason to listen to me for our 2 day shoot. Essentially I will be moving on quickly from "CakeWalk" and try to make more to become at least okay at this; but if anyone had a chance to skim it to see what you think, that would be terrific. I wanted to get out of my comfort zone and deal with a family dramedy/sitcom which I had never thought I would try, but glad to have doen it once as I’ve learned so much. Thanks!! John Kelmer
