I am directing a music video tomorrow and the artist would like for me to shoot a sequence where he is sitting in a chair and slowly spins 360 degrees. As he spins the room transforms from one look to another. Does anyone know how I can effectively shoot this? Then my second issue will be in post how to make the final product look great.
Is the performer turning and the camera still or the camera moving and the performer still. Or are they both moving (so we always see his face) and the transforming room spinning? Is the transforming room the same room with different paint on the wall and drapes and furnishings? Or is the transforming room different rooms? Pretty easy do to. I'm just not clear on what the look is. Re; your second issue - don't try to make the final product look good in post; make it look great in camera.
Stagehands and planning - I've done this gag before. Make sure both looks can be changed over extremely quickly.
Shoot the subject against green screen
I wonder what happened with this shoot...
