It is terribly hard for me to get an AGENT at this moment, so I am looking into management. Any advice??? Or do I need an agent first to get a manager ?

I thought I also needed an agent and talked to my cousin about it. She was in the Broadway musical Cats and now has a huge career in public speaking (finding your voice, etc.). She told me that if I just start acting the agent will find me and if I go looking for one I will bust my butt and get nowhere. She said concentrate on acting first and when you're ready an agent will be there. :) But of course that is just my advice! Not saying I'm right. LOL.
LOL! so many people told me the same thing (just be patient). I've been acting for a while and I just want a paying gig for now. I understand and if that's what it takes then....here I COME!
I guess I'm in the smaller marketing. I really don't know I just need an agent so I can audition for Nick and Disney because the open calls (for those types) rarely comes out to NYC.
I didn't know what you meant before lol my apologies. HAHAHA I live near NYC and it seems like all of the agents based here don't want to rep ME. It really sucks to see some of these teen stars get on shows who weren't represented by anyone. And I'm almost 20 searching for an agent...my life -__-
