Introduce Yourself : Hello :-) by Ray Klein

Ray Klein

Hello :-)

It's a pleasure to be here and meet so many wonderful people. I figured it's time I step from behind the lollipop trees and introduce myself. My name is Ray Klein. From Central Jersey and I'm looking to network and find opportunities to act in some not so deep to deep quirky and eccentric roles. Entertainment has been in my blood since I was little. The first time I was on stage was 3rd grade as Woodrow Wilson in my schools production of, "The Presidents". I never forgot the image of the spotlight and the blacked out crowd. Later on, I would find my way to an agent and MTV. I appeared on Eye Spy Video for MTV and was asked to be an extra for Real World. I was an extra in the movie Wirey Spindell, where I attended a basketball game and played the center of the opposing team that Wirey would score the winning basket over. I actually never saw the movie. Offers started coming in and I had to turn most down because I had to stay committed to my 40hr a week job to help my Mom. Turning down offers is never good. So I stepped away. Now things have changed and my family is 100% behind me and I am completely driven. I often hear, how do you have the time and when do you sleep? It's just that, before it gets to late, I am trying to make up as much time as possible. Currently I have been working with Green Birdie Productions on various projects. Since I started with MTV I have often been told that I am easy to direct, very professional and have been trusted to improvise during scenes. These qualities have allowed me to work on many different projects with the same producers, directors and studios. I am known for my physical comedic acting, but I am also experienced in the art of dramatic portrayal. My favorite acting style is portraying characters who are quirky and eccentric. Also while growing up, my teachers had always told me to be a writer. I don't want to look back when I'm 80 and say, "What if?" So I picked up some books that an old colleague from MTV suggested. Then started watching some online lectures. I am set to do whatever it takes. One of the best things I've ever heard came from someone in Hollywood that said, "WHEN you get here. you'll be good."
