So it's official - just giving everyone a heads up that we're havin' a screening and a jam in the QFT (Belfast) on Friday week. That's the 21st of June 2013. I'm going to be screening a 60 min cut of a documentary I've been working on consisting of footage I've gathered over the years. Featured artists include: TMN crew, Belfast City Breakers, Wile Man, Jun Tzu, Bee Mick See, Bad Taste Cru and more. Since 2006 I've recorded Northern Ireland's growing underground Hip-Hop scene, where sectarian baggage is left behind and the catchphrase is, "It's not where you're from - it's where you're at." From old school B-Boys to present-day rappers, Hip-Hop and its early proponents were peacemakers in a broken community. The screening will be followed by a discussion with some of the featured artists and a live jam in the QFT bar showcasing local DJs, MCs and B-Boys. Local beats from Noize Thievery, Seaz Beats, Slaine Browne, Wile Man and 028 crew to name a few... If you're not up to anything come on down if you can - would be great to meet some of you. http://www.queensfilmtheatre.com/films/bombinbeatsandbboys/ All the best, Chris
