ok so I just got an email invitation to audition to be a live event host for an infomercial I'm soo excited but its ny dirst audtion and I'm sure I'll be nervous and any tips ir advice for me I would greatly appreciate it!!!!
Calm your nerves by understanding that they already have interest in you because they invited you. So whether they liked your picture or you sent in an audition video they like what they saw. Be ready to open up and be able to express yourself and you will do great!
Walk in like you own the place...the person who asks the questions controls the conversation...have your own questions ready...purport the aire they are ooking for and the jobs yours.
I've gotten emails like this as well. Do more research on the company. 99% of auditions like this are BIG scams. They want you to feel all great about the audition, build your confidence up, make you feel on top of the world, and then BAM, they hit you with paying for head shots, portfolio registration, acting classes/coaching sessions, etc. Type the company's name (casting agency name, not client's name) and the word "scam" in google and see what pops up.
The main thing is to Breathe. take long slow breathes..it will help you to relax. Then just be yourself, don't over do anything. your senses will be heightened so take your actions down a notch and relax into the experience....think about how fun this really is.
