Hey everyone, I've been writing screenplays for the past couple years: tried a number of different genres (comedy, drama, horror) before writing a sci-fi spec called "Hiber" that recently got optioned by Amazon Studios (the script also made the semis of this year's Scriptapalooza competition). Here's a link to an interview I did about that: http://hollywonk.com/post/52318683544/hiber-writer-qa Am now focusing on sci-fi and working on follow-up scripts, so would enjoy hearing from folks writing in or just liking that genre, as well as anyone with advice on how to try and use this initial success to get an agent or manager. Thanks.
Thanks Brian!
Look forward to your updates! Best to you!
Adam -- congrats. Continue to tout your success via social media, but also get a list of agencies via the WGA (http://wga.org/agency/agencylist.aspx) and start selling yourself using those wins you just listed in your query letters. Good luck!
Congrats on Hiber! Welcome to stage 32!
I'm in Boston too. Hello and good luck.
Hi, Adam.
Thanks for all the kind words!
Great new, congratulations.
Thanks Mark!
Great work, Adam. I recently received a "recommend" for my sci-fi script, "Dream Vacation". Tell me how the option is going with Amazon Studios.
Only got optioned in late May, so no news yet, but will keep Stage32ers posted! Dream Vacation is a great sci-fi title, BTW.
