Composing : What Should I do with my Songs? by Carolyn Long

Could someone give me some ideas here! I write music. I think they are fantastic but kind of easy listening/ slow folksy type songs. If there are influences, then its subconscious because I couldn't tell you. In fact other people who hear my songs tell me of their thoughts on the influences. Did someone mention Pink Floyd? Wasn't sure of that one. Another mentioned Sade - I was past caring! Anyway I think my songs should be in films. Original songs not heard on the popular scene! How do I get these out there to producers who are looking for original music. I'm brilliantly versatile in that I compose music in English as well as in an African language (accent could be a bit dodgy but great for European consumption.
