Introduce Yourself : New to Philadelphia by Susan Chase

Hi All, I am eager to meet you and share our work and ideas. I am an actress/playwright/director/dancer/choreographer/educator new to Philadelphia. I am interested in working in experimental as well as traditional genres. I would love to collaborate on an original piece with other artists, other art forms. (In the past, I got PA Arts Council grants to collaborate with architects, photographers, composers.) I also do lots of work in schools -- using puppets, masks, music, improvisation and mime. I am a Certified Special Educator, so I would love to work with any group that provides programming for individuals with disabilities. Finally, I also perform a one-woman show, Susan's Undoing, based on my experience battling breast cancer. It is a wry look at my journey, teetering from harrowing to hilarious as I struggle to regain meaning, joy and laughter in my life. I am currently touring the show as well as working on a documentary about the creation of the piece -- so I definitely would like to connect with some film production people.
