I'm new here, so just tentatively saying 'hello'. At the moment, I'm concentrating on a series of fantasy novels, but I'd love to get back to writing for stage, screen or radio one day. My first novel, Silvana - the Greening, a fantasy involving dryad-like tree spirits, is being published next month by Copy Press, a small NZ publisher, so I'm in a happy place! Once upon a time an animation company liked my children's stories about a fire-dwelling salamander and her family. I had two stories at the time. They asked for thirteen. I wrote another eleven. They went into liquidation... but that's life, I guess. I live in New Zealand with my husband and teenage daughter, though I was born in England and spent half my life in Ireland. Besides writing, I'm mainly interested in theology and spirituality, oh and goats. (That's goats, not ghosts: we enjoy making cheese.) So, hello.

That sounds cool. My mother is currently writing some stories for children and young adults, mostly fantasy as well. I was helping her a bit with editing (I used to be an English Lit/Creative Writing major), and she is close to publishing her first story.
