Financing / Crowdfunding : Crowdfunding Support Network? by Nicole C. Scott

Hello everyone! I've been involved on three Indiegogo campaigns (so far) for documentaries and we met our goals on all three. With that said however, I've never done a crowd sourced fundraiser for anything other than documentaries. I'm assisting with a feature length narrative film this time around and thought that it might be more of a challenge to meet the goal because its not the same as a documentary where people already are fans of the subject, or believe in the cause. So, I wondered if we could all pool together and create a support network to get the word out and have more people help all of us with our crowd source fundraising campaigns. Such as, when we each announce our campaign and 100's if not 1000's of of us give shouts out to our own networks to help support new and exciting independent film projects. Rather than having each of us trying to only promote our own projects, we each help promote all the projects. Does that make sense? Wondered about your thoughts on how to go about this sort of endeavor, and if we should develop partnerships with big influencers to get behind the projects that Stage 32 members are working on in a more tangible way. Something that gives filmmakers more leverage for their campaigns and ensures all of us meet our goals. Thanks for reading and please offer your ideas to make something like this a reality. :-)
