Hello everyone! Allow me to introduce myself, I live and work in New York City, and have been working as a freelance filmmaker for the past 5 years since graduating with degrees in Film Production and Theatre Performance. My ultimate career goal is to be a director, and I am trying to write/produce/and direct as many of my own films as much as I possibly can. This past winter I did just that when I made a short auto/bio-documentary film "My Aura's Echo" which I'm now entering into festivals, and it was selected to screen at a world medical conference in Vienna, Austria this September. Watch my short film in my filmmakers gallery of my website at: www.noelday.com While on the journey to becoming a director, I wear many hats as a freelancer and work a variety of different roles on set (which I also enjoy, I don't do it begrudgingly, despite it not being my ultimate goal. As long as I'm working on set, or even in pre/post production being creative, I'm happy) including Assistant Director, Producer (or AP, Line Producer), Writer, Assistant Casting Director, Editor, and Actor. If you are looking for someone who is passionate and creative, who likes to solve problems and come up with realistic solutions, and has a good sense of humor, please get in touch! I'm always looking to expand my contacts, and continue to work in the Film and Television industries in New York (or beyond, I'm willing to travel.) And please check out my directorial work, as well as work I've done in the roles mentioned above, at my website at www.noelday.com What I'm working on right now.... As a writer/producer/director I'm working on developing a docu-reality show for television that I hope to pitch to networks like Discovery Channel, Travel Channel, A&E, and Netflix. I am working with two writers to script out the first three episodes, and we're trying to shoot a 7-min sizzle reel involving three locations in New York City. I hope to have it done and ready to pitch by January 1st, but we're running into snags with building permits, research (I'm doing it all on my own and it's very time consuming), budget (aka there is none) and the best way to go about pitching the series (it's my first time doing a major pitch/cold calling etc...) Anyone who thinks they have anything to offer or could help with, or would like to learn more, please get in touch! I look forward to hearing from you! If you've made it this far, thank you! You've investing time into learning about me and I appreciate it. I hope you'll go a step further and connect, and I look forward to that.
