With all of the new digital di…

With all of the new digital distribution platforms, financing options, crowd-funding options, Digital production and general connectivity provided at the click of the mouse; the necessity of the "Big-player" network production and distribution monopoly seems less and less relevant in today's industry other than the "unimaginable Independent serial Television Production" currently conceived to be impossible. It's my suggestion that: save the artistic and marketing credibility provided by the familiar Network distributor stamp; it seems that the market for a fully independent 13 episode yearly drama could be kept within the budgets of reasonably produced independent features ($2-$15M). At this level of creative ownership and the inclusion of Hyper-local licensing (www.sokap.com), a publicly traded company could be established (after substantial underwriting fees) for server maintenance and advertising growth to be tracked generating revenue to the local licencor while keeping creatives under complete control of the content - practically unheard-of in modern television production. In short, I am asking for opinions on the feasibility of this structure that cuts around the distribution wall monopolized by Network Television and directly solicits to local programmers to create a community owned Network developing original property. The Content would be cloud based until the distribution is attained and thus subsidized by big business advertisement to continue through a full seasons' production. (I adore network production and respect it immensely at all junctures, It may just be time for a change of beneficial ownership) For more information on the aforementioned "Hyper-Local licensing", please visit the newly established crowd-funding site www.sokap.com. Any thought or suggestions of the Independent network would be greatly appreciated- this proposal is in development with some great content attached. Please email me for more information.
