Hi there! Just received this VOICE OPPORTUNITY from vocal artist Yvon Bonenfant based in UK. I thought some of you might be interested... There it goes: Dear all! A voice opportunity & job... Can you forward the below text to relevant folk in your networks? Message or email me for details I am looking for a vocal performer who likes the wild side of new work, much preferably (but not necessarily) extended-voice-experienced, who has: - A great ear for unusual phonemes (from rare/disappearing languages or across varied accents) - A theatrical stage presence that would be great with kids, and who likes kids, and could work with them well, and who likes to move around as well as vocalize (no need for dancerdom here, though) - A great emotional range (who likes the hyperemotional end of extended voice) - Likes collaborating in an interdisc fashion, including with speech scientists and speech medicine, on devised/compositional processes. - Works in both speech and singing For a project making an interactive, guided installation-performance experience, funded by the Wellcome Trust. Pay is theatrically decent for R & D work. The work will be largely in situ at The Point's Creation Centre in Easteigh, Hants, 1h20 from Waterloo. A Londoner could commute daily, but there will be free accommodation provided by the creation centre with kitchen etc. The weeks that we'll be working f/t in R & D are: w/c 23 July, 29 Oct, 5 Nov, 12 Nov. Ideally, this person would be interested in touring in 2013 - we have some tentative interest from programmers who will be coming to the R & D showing in Eastleigh and will be working toward penciling a 2013 tour after the R & D showing. If candidates are interested, please have them contact me informally in the first instance by sending me a CV and a statement of interest that responds to the above bullet points. It is likely that we will be running informal auditions. You can learn more about my vocal work at www.yvonbonenfant.com and contact me at yvon.bonenfant@winchester.ac.uk
