WC Impressions is Currently seeking a Director of Photography for our Elizabethtown KY office who is proficient in all aspects of this position with knowledge of RED cameras and RED software. The candidate for this position must be ready to meet that goal the company is investing significant resources to develop new technologies and products for the production, post-production, delivery and consumption of "high quality video entertainment experiences" to a variety of screens (TVs, mobile devices including tablets, computing devices such as PCs, and cinema). The ideal candidate for this position will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, be independently motivated and have the ability to understand a comprehensive WorkFlow with the necessary skills to follow directions and intiatives. MUST have the ability to take a project from start to finish. They will also be self-motivated, independent, outgoing and friendly. Applicant must be extremely flexible to the needs of management. Degree preferred but not necessary in lieu of experience.. Must love movies, SpongeBob,space guns, sarcasm and have the ability to mesh with a quirky team of creative thinkers. The ideal person we are looking for is someone who is just starting out, looking to improve their craft as a DP and building their reel. Qualifications : - Innovative, an ability to think large and to be able to connect the dots on how one gets from here to there. You think strategically and have a propensity for translating that into actions to produce results. Pays attention to details. We are not looking for individuals that operate solely at the "big picture" level.- Very technically savvy and have the ability to work closely with and direct a world class team.- Considerable experience in the technical aspects of visual content creation- Leadership skills, self-confidence and humility to get your ideas put into practice by leveraging cross-functional teams that comprise of individuals that do not report to you.- Define success by the impact that you have on the organization and on the industry.- Organize stories and maintain project timelines for the rapid iteration of innovative program delivery pilots, meeting critical deadlines for course development and production -Continuously increase knowledge of field in order to recommend new approaches and/or revisions in collaboration with business and academic teams Additional skills, though not required, would be: knowledge of sound recording and design for film; and knowledge of the independent filmmaking and the film festival environment. Essentially, we need someone who can turnkey create and execute a video shoot that an editor can take and turn into whatever the client needs. You need to be able to create and write a concept for a TV commercial or long form video and then take and execute that completely in a very professional manner with exceptional results. We need someone easy to work with, can take input from customers or management without getting rattled or ruffled, who is good at building rapport with customers, talent and other team members, is morally upright, stable and driven to turn out exceptional work.
