Hello One and All. I'm Jerry Mayer and I've begun producing events, primarily concerts at this point in time. Small venues just to get started. I'm headed to owning a 1500 seat theater in Maryland to produce Broadway Musicals in the old Summer Stock style. Since we are not quite there yet, any assistance with information on raising capital for buildings, production and other advice is more than welcomed. we're going to bring back the "Theater in the Round" format and adding some versatility to the seating style as well. Info and advice are welcome and I'll keep posting our progress as we will be hiring starting in 2015. Thanks and best wishes to everyone in your endeavors. Thank you!
Raising capital is all about sponsors... If you can sell the show, you can sell to advertisers looking to advertise. Sell spots in a future program, set up vender areas, offer VIP meet n greets with the artists and a few tickets to the show. If a friend told you they were doing this and needed money to get started, what would they have to say to get you to open your checkbook? Find larger corporations who have advertised with similar events and ask... Asking is free! :)
