Introduce Yourself : Writer in Waco by Michael Long

Hello! I'm Michael from Waco, Texas. Yes, that Waco. There are many talented people--writers, singers, actors, directors, musicians-- in this little town between Dallas and Austin. I'm an academic who is looking for a creative outlet through writing plays and feature film scripts. I'm seeking an audience beyond the readers of academic journals. I have a brief background in theater, acting and directing, and ask myself why I didn't pursue it further when I was younger. I'm happy to learn about this site!
