Screenwriting : Writing for TV by Nick D'Castro

It seems at this point in time that it is easier to get into TV as a producer than getting a major motion picture produced. At present my associate and I have presented my manuscript Proteus - I Still don't get it - to a major TV chain. If it gets picked up we'll produce the pilot and two additional shows. I will be needing writers for the season. On average, what do you folks think is a fair compensation for the per writer?
