Are you a good actor, but you keep losing one audition after another? There's a lot of actors out there who don't understand that auditioning is an art unto itself. You may have years of training, but if you don't have a great monologue that makes you stand out, or you can't do cold readings, you'll never get that dream role. That's why the Chicago Actors Studio will be offering a brand new workshop, focused entirely on these auditioning skills. Learn essential skills, including: -Choosing the right monologue for your character type -Script Analysis -Getting the auditor’s attention before you even speak -Developing an emotional range -How to prepare for a performance -Motivated movement -Making a connection with your scene partner -How to take direction -Auditioning for stage vs. on-camera -Giving a complete performance on a cold read, as if you had rehearsed for weeks -And much more! This class will be available in the afternoon and the evening.
