It's obviously important to read great scripts in the genre that you like. I found it helpful to retype them too. Anyone else try this?

Yes, Alan that works too. Something many great writers have done to learn how to write.
Alle I used to get at Hollywood Bookstore but I now get online usually and I only use them for myself.
I think one of the best finds I made recently was James Cameron's Avatar screenplay in the blu-ray's special features. That was an eye-opening read.
