A few production companies requested my scripts after I sent a couple of loglines. How long after I send the PDF do I follow up with another email? It's been two weeks, so how much longer do I wait to contact them again? Thank you for your replies.
So maybe an email early September? That would be around the 6 week mark. For one of the submissions, I was asked to send a hard copy, is there a different protocol for that type of submission? They were in NYC. Also, is it bad to send an updated version of the script, if you did a slight rewrite of the material since you sent it to them? Does that look unprofessional? Thank you for your reply.
Yes, Ella it looks unprofessional to send a rewrite after you sent your material. It shows you weren't ready, and it wastes their time. Big no-no. In terms of follow-up, I'd go with 30 days.
Hello Again, I have a quick question. Just got a text from my manager. He gave one of my scripts to a young producer who has contacts with James Franco (They are good friends apparently) and his production company. The producer loved my script, an HBO style 1 hour pilot. He told my manager he thought it was very well written and he wants to see who he could pass it onto. Which I am very happy to hear. However, since he received the script 3 months ago, I have done a rewrite. Nothing major, but some scenes are tighter, and dialog is stronger, so should my manager now send him the better and newer version? Or just let him take the older version which he really liked anyway? Happy to be in this dilemma. Thank you for your responses.

Thank you both for your feedback. Very helpful.

What does your manager say? He should be the expert.
