Online Courses?

Hi guys. Just wondering if anyone has any links to online courses available in filmmaking? I am looking to do some distance learning, I understand that its hard for someone to learn this kind of thing over the internet, but if anyone knows of something, please could you let me know? Cheers, Aaron.

http://nofilmschool.com/ it's not courses, but very good site to learn more in filmmaking

Aaron Falvey

Thank you. I am already using this website, was looking around to see if anyone could suggest other ones as well :)

Samantha Mann

I heard Writers Bootcamp was good, but it costs money.

Aaron Falvey

Thanks Samantha Mann. I will look into it.

Stage 32 Staff - Julie

Hi Aaron - Stage 32 hosts a variety of classes and webinars: https://www.stage32.com/webinars Also, we have a really great directing class that is coming up in November, so be on the look out for that :)

Aaron Falvey

Awesome thanks Julie.

Ula Woronko

Have you checked on lynda.com?

Aaron Falvey

Yes Ula I have. I have a subscription too, it doesnt really cover filmmaking though unfortunately. However this week I found a completely online film school course www.lightsfilmschool.com which seem pretty good so I might invest a few dollars in them and try the course out.

Ula Woronko

Ok Aaron. Let me know how you like it. :)

lynda.com is a good one , or you might also try udemy.com ,

NoFilmSchool is not an online school. It's little more than reposted information. The site doesn't acknowledge the original author or the website they take the information from. No original content to be found there. It's a platform for making advertising dollars for its owners.

Aaron Falvey

I found an finished an online course. Really enjoyed it. Thanks for the help guys.

Joe Valva

Hi Aaron. So tell us about the course!

Aaron Falvey

Hi Joe, its called Lights Film School. Thoroughly enjoyed it and learn't quite a lot. :)

Future Learn.com. Very good and 'free'!

Aaron Falvey

Thanks Sue-Kim Steele Green BA Wggb. Bectu. For me I should have mentioned I was after a qualification of sorts so I had something which accompanied my experience. So now that I have a certificate in film-making I feel a little more satisfied with my resume.
