Introduce Yourself : Chicago Director, Writer by Steven Payne

To all the new people - hello. And to everyone I haven't met - an equal hello. I'm a Chicago-based filmmaker, festival winner, writer/director. I've had a screenplay optioned, used to do a ton of crew work, focused now on bringing my own projects to fruition. I've worked with some terrific actors, and look forward to meeting more. My short films get a lot of exposure through festivals and free screenings once they have run their course there. I'm including the trailers for two of my projects so you can see how I work, and I hope to get a chance to work with some of you on my future projects. The first is a comedy which I shot in a handheld documentary style, entitled 'Finding Samantha Dixon'. The second, 'Straight', is a swapped role where homosexuality is the majority and heterosexuality is frowned upon. Hope you enjoy!
