Alistair - I'm in Edinburgh for a couple of days at the end of October (giving a talk on Zombies from History) so if you get some more warm bodies to say yes, let me know.

Alistair I'm in central Edinburgh on Thursday 30th Oct. My talk starts at 7pm so any meet up would have to be mid-afternoon, which might be difficult for those with proper jobs.

Glad to see that the stage 32 staff are keeping abreast of geographic locations, would be keen to know when Glasgow and the Boarders were in the Edinburgh area? wonder if Manchester and London are to??? Sounds like a good idea Alistair, but would suggest you pick a venue and date then see who can come rather than asking when it's convenient for everybody else, in this industry it never will be and with Christmas fast approaching venues are going to start being at a premium as people start organising their works parties. But keep me in the loop and let us know what you decide and i'l see ii it's possible to attend, Cheers.

I love the Royal Mile and I think that's a great venue being at the heart of the Fringe and Festival. Sadly I'm abroad on both the suggested dates 8th and 15th Nov - hope all goes well and I look forward to hearing about it

I could do either Saturday 8th or 15th November. Weekend days are better for me as I have a paid job on weekday mornings and can avoid requesting a day off. I live in Dumfries and Galloway so have to drive up. Please let me know!

Might I suggest that if we end up with a firm date that suits most people, those of us from outlying areas that are further afield and outside Edinburgh try to look into sharing vehicles and the fuel expense? Assuming dates are favourable though I'm based about 20 miles North of Glasgow I could travel via the centre of town and carry another 4 people as I'm teetotal there should be no problems regarding being fit to drive back.

Any news Alistair as the 8th of November is only a week away now?

See you there Alistair, how easy is it to get to that place by car, including parking? Plus how would I recognise you?

Hey Christopher, depending on where you're coming from it's not too difficult you just have to be careful as there many streets which are just one way. There is parking on Chambers Street near the University which is just one street away. I will be standing outside the bar waiting for people and I will have a brown coat and scarf on. See you soon!

I decided not to come Alistair, I didn't fancy driving into Edinburgh on a Saturday afternoon and juggling any prospective film-work alongside my job would be a problem. I'm planning to move South next year and need to save enough money for that. However, if there are other meet-ups in future - judging by the number of people who couldn't make it to this one I think that's a good idea - I would be interested.
