So, I haven't posted much lately... have been busy with gigs here in the SF Bay area! Recently Stage Manager for the Bay Area premiere of "Santa Claus is Coming Out" as well as box office manager for "Santaland Diaries." Currently appearing (on-stage, even) as Assistant Stage Manager for the Bay Area Premiere of Stephen Sondheim's "Road Show" for Theatre Rhinoceros, running through January 19th in a limited engagement at the Eureka Theatre.

Catchy Name Theatre Lab, San Francisco, CA, is seeking submissions of new scripts for potential development. Writers are encouraged to submit as many scripts as they like, in English, with no limitations as to length or theme. Deadline for Submission for our November Public Reading is OCTOBER 15, 2013, Midnight PST. Public Reading of the selected play(s) will take place at a theatre space to be named in November 2013. There is NO SUBMISSION FEE, and we are accepting any length play, from 10 minutes to full-length. Multiple entries may be accepted for public reading. Submission Process open to all playwrights nationwide; winning playwright(s) will be notified by email by November 1, 2013. Scripts must be properly formatted and submitted electronically in PDF or WORD format to: submission@catcnynametheatre.org No hard copies will be accepted. Plays of exceptional potential will be considered for further development and future fully-staged production by Catchy Name Theatre. There is NO compensation for the public reading; this is an opportunity to hear your work read by professional actors before an audience. A period after the reading will be devoted to allow audience, actors, director and playwright (if present) to discuss strengths, weaknesses and potential areas for development. We believe that playwrighting cannot happen in a vacuum, and that input from others is a valuable experience for all involved. This is the first of a series of Readings and Developmental Workshops through Catchy Name Theatre Lab, the development arm of Catchy Name Theatre (a San Francisco non-profit professional theatre company). In the event the selected playwright is outside the Bay Area and cannot attend the event, we will make arrangements to either broadcast via Net-Meeting or other means, or record the event and submit to playwright.
