Expand commentIn May 2014, the state of NC reduced the NC film commission's tax incentives for film productions by 2/3. Now many productions that were filming here for the tax incentives will be leaving including productions like "Homeland". These tax incentives were the key reason to open a film studio here in Charlotte NC. We have since moved our film studio plans to Rock Hill SC on the Catawba Indian Reservation. Still close enough to Charlotte, but with the South Carolina Tax benefits.
