Hello everyone, I've been a member here for quite some time yet this is the first time I've participated in "Introduce Yourself" weekend. This is the moment that I vow to be more active AND interactive here at Stage 32. My story is a long one but I'll do my best to keep it short and hopefully interesting. 2015 was one of the worst years I've had in 45 years on this big blue marble. A fourth reconstructive spinal surgery ended a very lucrative, 12 year trucking career. It was the first time I had been unemployed since I was 14 years old. I knew going back to college (third time is the charm) was absolutely necessary so I enrolled at The Art Institute of Las Vegas. From the time I was 13 until I was 21 I was a "working"ish actor. I knew that's what I wanted to do all my life even at a very young age. At the beginning of my senior year in high school, my Mom lost her grueling and gruesome battle with cancer that started in her breasts but spread to her brain. She was my greatest inspiration and my biggest fan. I was 18 that year so I often skipped school to run from San Diego to L.A. for as many auditions as I could. After a few great stage productions and a good run on a cop show called Silk Stockings my auditions dried up, Dad and Stepmom moved away, I was out of options. I enlisted in the US Coast Guard. Just before I left for basic training I was offered a regular speaking role on Silk Stockings but the universe had other plans for me The next 10 years were the greatest and simultaneously the hardest I had ever experienced.( Those stories are for a different time). I was injured pretty badly during a boarding on a Turkish carrier vessel that caused three spinal surgeries over three years. After I got out of the military I worked many positions in a few hotels and naturally became a truck driver because that's the next logical step for every sales person( sorry for the poor attempt at ironic humor) A decade in the military and 12 years of trucking took me all over the US and many places in the world until I landed in Las Vegas the Entertaintment capital of the world. I'm currently working on my degree in Audio Production and Sound Design. My over all goal is to take all of the experiences, good and bad, that I've had over the last 35 years and apply it to any and all aspects of TV, film and theater. I'm hoping that being an actor with an Audio degree will increase my equity and value on any set, or project. After my fourth spinal surgery I lost all of my finances, most of my assets and almost my wife. I'm glad I'm too damned stubborn to give up in life but my whole reason to share this is to reach out to any and all people in this great chaotic world of The Biz. I'll never claim to know it all but I've learned many things. I'm always willing and eager to learn from those who are willing and able to teach. The performing arts have always been my passion. We’ll use the 30 days of November as a personal deadline for whatever project you’re working on; be it a first draft, a rewrite, a TV pilot, a short, a feature, a pitch, whatever. There are no parameters other than what you choose to accomplish within the month of November. We’ll support, inspire and cheer each other on throughout our 30-day endeavors. We’ll encourage each other to reach our individual goals. Please keep in mind: this is not a competition. This is not a win/lose thing. No word count. No page count. No. This exercise is about pushing forward. In the weeks ahead we’ll share our highs and lows within this ongoing thread, and share our progress within the weekly November Write Club check-in blogs every Sunday. Remember participation is key. You must check in and report your progress, and participate by supporting and encouraging others all month long. There’ll be a well-earned “gift” at the end, an extended push forward with whatever step may be next for you. So whaddaya say? You in?

Hello Everyone! I am an actor, stand up comic, member of Women in Film in LA, working on getting my pitch deck show bible revised to find a producer or production company with relationships to streaming networks. Currently in Maryland for a few months writing on my TV series. My pilot has been sent to several people at the Avignon Arts Festival that recently ended in Avignon, France.

I've been on Stage 32 for awhile now, mainly lurking. I thought it might be honestly nice to introduce myself and see if I can't further my connections even if just for the sake of talking about film.

I'm currently working on a feature and a few shorts. And, my ultimate goal for the next few months, is to try and make through the entire Criterion Collection. If anyone has direct recommendations, even outside the Collection, let me know! I'm always down to see something I haven't, film wise.

I'm looking to vibe and create with great minds and love that stage 32 gives us this platform.

Hello. I am a storyteller and work in various formats; writing, directing, photographing, transmedia and producing. But in the pipeline at the moment I am executive producing an animated short film by Carlos Baena - La Noria, developing a couple of stories/franchise interesting for one of the major studio companies, but it's under NDA. I am also developing and writing on a big story world/concept that will eventually become a multiformat franchise. I am collaborating with a very interesting film financing proposition too. ...and I aim to climb the Kilimanjaro next year.

42 year old married white male (but 22 at heart). Have studied screenwriting for 20 years and know the craft although I will always consider myself a perpetual amateur. Spent those two decades playing with it as a hobby (hatching ideas and stories and reviewing screenplays, giving advice on triggerstreet <sniff> and building a fairly large 'to do' list of screenplays to write) in my spare time.

Have recently made the concrete decision to dedicate real time to applying the craft professionally so that 20 years of knowledge doesn't just sit and rot.

Am currently collaborating on an original screenplay project with a great writing partner but open to other opportunities as well.
