Hi Eric, This is a reminder, if you have time on Thursday, March 20, 2014, 6:30 - 9:30 PM, I am having a script-reading-performance of "Silk and Thorns", my new script, at Howard University, School of Communication, Screening Room West, 525 Bryant Street, NW DC. Many local actors are participating and it is a good opportunity to network with local production and acting talent. Furthermore, this event strives to push the Black independent production film paradigm from after to before production, in audience approval. It is a story that addresses slavery and the Antebellum South of the 19th century in a unique and different approach. I would love to have your input on the story. We had the honor of consulting in the early stages of the development of the feature length documentary, "Time Is Illmatic". Who would have thought the doc would be the premiere opener for the 2014 Tribeca Film Festival: http://variety.com/2014/film/news/tribeca-film-festival-to-open-with-nas.... The premiere screening will be followed by a live concert by Nas, playing the entire Illmatic album, on the 20th anniversary of the original debut of the album. Congratulations One9 and Erik Parker on making your dream a reality. 10 years in the making!

Hey Eric, a few days ago we implemented a new privacy setting to give you the option of accepting private messages only from users within your network. Today, I discovered a bug with the way this option is set for new users. I just wanted to let you know that the bug is now fixed, so all members are now able to receive private messages from any other member (the default setting). If you'd like to receive private messages only from users within your network, you can change this setting here. Also, you can access your privacy settings at any time from the drop-down menu that appears when you hover over your profile photo in the upper right-hand corner of the page.
