Now. How is it? That I've sat on a script I've had for years. Kept from everyone like a precious piece of gold. Not shown it to anyone that I can think of. Something I've been tinkering with off and on.. Suddenly has four producers, two major agencies, and one studio contacting me asking for it within one weeks' time? It's NOT READY YET! Not that I'm complaining, but I don't like throwing unready things against the wall. Not something this important. But still.. This script has never been pitched. How the hell does something spread around like that. No one even knows if its good or not..

It's time to find s producer now that I have some names attached. Sheesh. Took long enough

Amazing how you can have rights to a story from years ago, only to find ten years later it's now a hot property

Of course, I have about four individuals now that have offered me some kind of deal for funding this film now that I have the rights to the novel. But of course, it all comes with "get us a package", and "make sure you have attachments to it". Does everyone have this issue of the triad of doom? i.e. Stars, require money, investors require distribution, and distribution requires stars. I'm assuming a 'funding contingent' is okay to say when I'm talking to agents and managers, but I keep thinking that just is going to make the project seem undesirable. Anyone have any magic beans on getting around this?

Ahhh, the package. Pit Stop, what a great book, and glad I got the rights to it. Now to think about some casting attachments.

When making a film there are a lot of "rules of thumbs" on how to do it right. But the other eight fingers are up for grabs. AB

Picture if you will a horrible car accident you're slowly passing on the highway. Blood on the pavement, the smell of smoke coming through the vents, and a tow truck carrying away a crunched car. It's a horrific sight to be certain. Now picture the same scenario, only this time.... you recognize the car. For an audience, THAT is the importance of character development.
