Networking a great way for people to experience win-win outcomes, so I'm excited that such a community for Film/TV exists. I've been playing music since I was 10, and have expanded my styles and instrumentation through the years. About 10 years ago, I hooked up a talented co-composer, Charles Mallory, and we've been composing ever since. Through the past few years, we started our own music production company, Wiksell Mallory Productions (www.wiksellmallory.com) and have really enjoyed being able to write for a variety of audiences and in many different styles. Getting into the music industry from a town like Columbus, OH has proven to be difficult, even with all the advantages of the internet. It seems that there is still a dominate idea that if you're not in NYC, LA, Nashville or Chicago, then you're not worth the time. To some degree, I agree that the level of talent that moves to the major markets have taken more time and attention to the professionalism of their craft, and that the networking and communication opportunities are more generous. But I also know that there are wickedly talented individuals and companies all over the world now, and that the internet can make remote talent more attractive from a cost perspective (we certainly don't have to pay LA rent prices!) and from a unique creativity standpoint. I hope that all of you enjoy your craft to the fullest, and I hope that sites like this are successful in bridging the gap between distances!

This is a network for you, built by you. Like most things in life, the more you participate, the greater the rewards. We ask all new members to pay it forward by inviting 5 fellow creatives to the network and by spreading the word of Stage 32 through other social media sites such as Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter. The more creatives, the stronger the network. The stronger the network, the more opportunities.
Thanks for joining the movement and for being a part of this most talented and inspiring community. I very much look forward to your contributions.
Thanks, and have a creative day!
RB
