Signed contract with publisher in Mid-west to do all of their audio-books. It may not be much but it is a start.
Mark hi hope things are going well for you. As for me getting a lot of experience but little pay. I was wondering what does it take to find paying gigs in this field? Also any advice on the topic of agents? Please take time out of your busy schedule to respond. Thanks.

Expand commentHi Brian, Sorry for any delay. It has been hectic-fun-but hectic lately. Congrats on getting gigs in the first place! It is just a matter of sticking to it, putting in some serious work hours at first (networking, auditioning and more auditioning) to build up that customer network. An agent will want to see a track record/resume of past projects and a good professional-sounding demo reel. That takes time to build to. Hope that helps a bit. I am still auditioning daily and trying to network as much as i can with previous customers. It is finally starting to reap dividends in the form of repeat business and referral customers. Best of luck. Mark
Thanks for the reply will talk again. BTW is audacity the standard for recording audio?

Hi Peter I am a fledgling actor who discovered late in life my passion for theater. Just starting out and could use any and all advice you could give me.
David Hello My name is Brian Keon and I'm attempting to break into the Voice over business, could we either communicate so I can get some pointers, or would you be willing to mentor me since we both live in the same area (relatively speaking) thanks.
My name is Brian Keon just getting into voice acting my self, one of the problems I have is using only my computer in a closet is where I record (not having access to a studio has it's drawbacks) Do you have a studio that you us? If not how do you handle the quality of your recording?
Thanks for the input I really appreciate it.
I previously built a studio in an old apartment during college and i used egg cartons and blankets for sound-deadening. Worked pretty great
Interesting solution to that issue. How did it work for you?
Greetings. My name is Brian Hunziker. I'm a full time commercial producer for the local ABC television affiliate in Watertown, NY. I'm also an aspiring voice actor. I'm looking to expand my professional contacts through Stage 32.

Thank you, Brian. I'm looking forward to meeting and working with many new people. Very interesting site here.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts, I am just starting out as an actor, narrator, host or general catch-all to do what ever I can to be involved in projects. I'm just wondering what advice you might have for someone that is starting out in the fall season of his life?

I go way back in the days with professionals such as Mr. Walter Cronkite, and staff at cbs news, Tom Bergeron from cbs/ wbz networks. New kids on the block, New Editions family member, Mr. Lou Ferrigno from the incredible Hulk televison series. Ms. Danielle Demski host of the Emmy Awards. Adam West of Batman. Performed at Planet Hollywood casino Las, Vegas. Friend of Mr. Michael Jackson's bosses from Motown, and Columbia Record inc, Starfactree Record label. I grew up in the Jehovah's Witnesses in the same period as Michael. We were both interested in the same music ideas. we both could sing the same range. It's a long story that my uncle was involved in creating the jackson five at motown. I was on stage with Latoya, Michael would call my job at Caesar's Palace where i was working at the time. I am very deep into horror dance music, and have won the International award for heart-beat "Thriller" host Ms.Florence Henderson.
