I am a director/producer seeking production funds for a 30-minute short about a South Carolina teacher and artist. The initial short, "the Art House," is available on www.shortsshowcase.com, under 2015 entries. It's 9 minutes long and features a house turned into an art installation. Ciao!

I currently work as an Eligibility Specialist. I remember in college one of my instructors had us write a short story as an assignment. He told me I would make a great writer. I recently started writing and I am getting better and better. I am working on a stage play about the tragedies of my life from childhood in hopes it would help others. I will keep you all posted.

Good morning, all. I put my acting and videography goals on hold when I joined the Navy 14 years ago, but I never stopped writing, even if it was only "part time" as deployments allowed. One of my biggest regrets was meeting Ben Affleck during a USO visit on USS Enterprise and NOT taking the opportunity to talk about screenwriting and the then-new Project Greenlight. Since then, I never wanted to pass up the chance to meet people in the industry. Now that I'm retired from the Navy, I'm looking to put more time into my writing. I've found active writing groups are the best aid to me finishing scripts and look forward to working with other writers here to get our stuff into shape. I also have zero business sense, so the idea of a place where I can find guidance and mentorship in marketing my works is a very attractive one.
