I have numerous credits in the free lance world, and will soon have one optioned feature, another with an actor attached, and yet another that is getting a lot of attention. In the coming months I plan to produce a short that I wrote, and market some comedy scripts as well. Would be good to hear from some people in my area that would like to network, especially RomCom, Drama, and Metaphysically based writers and producers.

I'd recommend networking with Boomer Murrhee: https://www.stage32.com/profile/205656/boomer-murrhee/about - he knows a ton of creatives in and around Florida perhaps for your short film! He's great.
Would definitely like to hear from writers, film makers, and actors in Tampa Bay area to network, share, and socialize.

This is a network for you, built by you. Like most things in life, the more you participate, the greater the rewards. We ask all new members to pay it forward by inviting 5 fellow creatives to the network and by spreading the word of Stage 32 through other social media sites such as Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter. The more creatives, the stronger the network. The stronger the network, the more opportunities.
Thanks for joining the movement and for being a part of this most talented and inspiring community. I very much look forward to your contributions.
Thanks, and have a creative day!
RB

I find that using the “Assign Voices” tool on Final Draft has really helped me catch omitted words and awkward dialogue. Consequently, my typos have gone way down. After I’ve done that, I have a trusted colleague and former writing teacher read my work. What do you do?

Things that need to be changed. I get very focused when writing and have actually made a mental note while reading a draft to pay off some bit later - only to find that I did. As close as you get while writing, you need some distance for rewriting.

But probably not to the latter because I need to decompress from finishing one screenplay. Then go back - and read it again. With fresher eyes. I see things I didn't see before or notice things that might be missing (to fix for the rewrite). I tend to get so focused when writing - that I have actually followed this

Expand commentI do a couple read throughs to catch typos, misspelling, etc. Then I get a group of friends together, assign a character, and supporting characters to a given person, to read, and act out the dialogue. If anything comes off awkward, I take notes, and suggestions on making the dialogue flow more easier. This isn't just effective, but it's also a fun time for all.
