Thanks for the invitation. You have a strong following. :-)
Thanks Sam! I enjoyed reading this. I am a composer and I would say that it all very much applies to the music world as well.
Thank You Arhynn!
Sam, I'd be interested in hearing more about your workshops. Two of the things from your list that I need are a reel and an imdb page. I am also in NY and will be performing in an off-Broadway play called Conversations with an Average Joe.

Expand commentLara, Message me when you get a moment and will send you some info. They have helped many an actor. Kalene, who I mentioned both in the BLOG and the comments has really bought into the program and she is a great example. She saw herself on the BIG screen in a multiplex in two films, won her first acting award and caught the attention of a great casting director this past weekend. I have cast her in several upcoming projects and many filmmakers are taking an interest in her. However, it should be noted, while most of the students only take one class a month, Kalene takes two. She is passionate about it, buys into the program and doesn't cry poverty as many a student will. Other students want to manage their class around their social calendars, while Kalene finds a way to make the dates work. She will be missing her first class in a while Saturday, because of a play she is currently appearing in, but will still be there the following week. I mention this to show you that SUCCESS IS ABSOLUTELY ATTAINABLE ... IF YOU WORK HARD ENOUGH! Again, message me and I will give you more details! ;)
Yes, Bill, it is a heartbreaking situation for thousands. Thank you for the good thoughts and wishes.
Thank God people are now aware of it. My cousins live there and for a while, there was no relief. That pretty much changed overnight. There are a lot of politics involved, unfortunately, and the poor people always pay the price.

Expand commentI live in south Texas and love it! Lived in San Francisco a bit over 10 years. The food and shopping 'were' great but the hospitable people here in Texas, the weather (just as good as LA without the fires and earthquakes) the cost of living is reasonable, and access to the Gulf and beaches is easy-go. One of the great things is one can drive for miles and see the water unrestricted by condos, hotels and houses piled on top of each other like dominoes (Florida sucks). The bloom year round, plethora of palm trees is outstanding. Only Hawaii can boast more. Yes, we have hurricanes. The thing about that is we have early 'warnings' to get out of harm's way and most 'hits' end up in Mexico or way up north in Louisiana, east of there and the west coast of Florida. What's not to like? I am hopeful that Brian is right about LA. I will visit and have, but live there? No way. The need for fresh content is growing so rapidly and in so many new venues, in my view, that production companies will spring up and relocate where the talent and costs are globally favorable.

This is a network for you, built by you. Like most things in life, the more you participate, the greater the rewards. We ask all new members to pay it forward by inviting 5 fellow creatives to the network and by spreading the word of Stage 32 through other social media sites such as Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter. The more creatives, the stronger the network. The stronger the network, the more opportunities.
Thanks for joining the movement and for being a part of this most talented and inspiring community. I very much look forward to your contributions.
Thanks, and have a creative day!
RB
