We have permanently moved to the Phoenix area bringing over 30 years of teaching and coaching acting in LA and Denver to the actors here. We are excited to join and contribute to the film, theater and acting community. The Howey Acting Studio is a new acting studio located at 916 E Baseline Rd in Mesa. We conduct on-going acting classes. Bill and Carla teach/coach with their own personal technique. Bill was an acting coach for TV shows and sit-coms. Bill wrote and I published The Actor’s Menu: A Character Preparation Handbook, sold internationally. Along with the book, Bill has published articles for the acting magazine Backstage. Bill was a resident equity actor at The Cleveland Playhouse. He then moved on to produce television for TVW 7 Perth Australia. He wrote, directed and edited three feature movies which I produced. Because we have been teaching for over 30 years and many of our students have gone on to be working actors. And we're new to Arizona and no one knows us yet. Bring in a memorized piece of work where the character is talking for one or two minutes.  You will do it for Bill Howey and he will critique it. The critique will be personal and specific to you. Bring in either a brand new piece or one you've done before. After the critique/evaluation Bill Howey will work the piece with you and you will have a chance to do it again.  There is no obligation to join the acting school and there is no charge.
