Greetings, Phil! Thank you for reaching out. Recently I have finished the second draft of my first screenplay. If you like sci-fi you are more than welcome to take a look. I will so much appreciate your feedback.

Unfortunately, it often ends with it. If your logline is not compelling then everything you carefully prepared for submission (synopsis, script, etc.) will go to a trash bin.
If you want to avoid it, use the approach many advise for writing the first page. Leave a hook at the end to make a reader want to turn the page and read more.
A logline is only one sentence, so it all should be a hook.
Your logline should allow a reader to figure out genre, protagonist (and antagonist), protagonist’s goal and what is at stake. Make all of those compelling and you win. But you can do even better.
Make it ironic and you will nail it. For example, in Die Hard the protagonist comes to a Christmas party and goes through hell.
And last but not the least. Your logline makes a promise to a reader that he will soon read a good story. Trust your competitors – their loglines also make that promise. To stand out, your story should include more than what was promised. So, leave some cool stuff for your synopsis, and some for the script.
For instance, don’t include your ending in the logline. Let your story resolution be an icing on your cake. Besides, a logline is only up to 27 words – you cannot include everything.
May all readers want to read your scripts upon reading your awesome loglines!
To live in peace a computer raised orphan declares war to an interstellar corporation creating a breakthrough military technology and chasing his spaceship for that technology component
Hi Alexander, Your essay on loglines was well done. I am looking forward to seeing your story and hopefully working together soon.
Hi Daniel, Thank you for kind feedback. Regarding cooperation - I am looking forward to it.
Hi Alexander,
I have started reading your script and am enjoying it. I will get back to you after I am done with any thoughts on it. Looks good.

The happiest day of my life - wedding.
Welcome, Alexander. That's a very interesting logline you posted. I'm anxious to see what you produce. If I can be of service, in any way, consider me an ally at your disposal.
Hi, Jesse! Thanks for your interest and offer. At the moment I have several ideas and a vague vision of major turning points. I will produce a synopsis and then we may discuss it.
Updated the logline by adding a synopsis - it's still a work in progress.
