Casting Call: This film explores the violence epidemic throughout Portsmouth and surrounds a couple in love wanting to live a better life for themselves and their community. Tragedy is a constant and seemingly inescapable. (Trigger warnings: violence, blood, gangs). The following cast is needed: Daquan (main character): African American male, thin to medium build, looks between 20 and 30 years old. Jasmine (main character): African American female, thin to medium build, looks between 20 and 30 years old. Grandmother: African American female, looks between 50 and 70 years old. Gang members (need two): African American male, thin to medium build, looks between 20 and 30 years old. Daquan’s friend: African American male, thin to medium build, looks between 20 and 30 years old. Police: Caucasian male, fit build, looks 30-40 years old
