I have just launched 5 mobile games on Google Play store and 4 on Apple App store. Marketing and promotions is the key to viral download of these games by the billion tablet and iPad owners around the globe. What are your thoughts on using the Kickstarter crowd funding for raising the marketing budget after the fact... meaning after these games are already launched on Google and Apple app store platforms. The mobile games are for education, entertainment, brain fitness, cognitive development, and prevention of age related dementia. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U1nLhrvZxbg&feature=youtube_gdata_player https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rknetstudio.bridge Anant

Expand commentHey Anant, I'm not familiar at all with marketing games and using crowdfunding platforms to pay for the marketing. I'm a film producer and most of the campaigns that come my way are for films, so that's what I'm most familiar with. I also don't play these games, so I am doubly in the dark. Kickstarter makes it very easy to do research. You can find similar campaigns (both successful and unsuccessful) and learn a lot from those. Best of luck!
Thanks Mark... straight talk is much appreciated.

Expand postHello Sam: The famous quote: “Behind every great man there is a great woman” is so very true. I’m not sure about wives as being those great women that shape our lives… but I’m certain about mothers and grandmothers as being the ones. My personal experiences with my grandmother as a mentor resonate with what you said… “When I was a little boy, my mother taught me a lot about character, principle, integrity, and honesty...lessons that are simple in their explanation, but lessons that are profound in their execution.” "Think about what you want, think about who can help you get it, and think about how to make them happy about giving it to you." I haven’t read your book, but I’m sure there are a few more golden nuggets like the ones quoted above. Am I right in saying─ may be not in those words─ that there are some more lessons your mother taught you to form the foundation of your glorious career involving people and personalities in the cut throat Agency business? Things like… “Our expertise is only limited by our knowledge, experience, and imagination.” “Financial inequality changes the dynamics of a relationship and, sooner or later, causes discontentment; resentment; muted emotional connection; garbled communications... and that, eventually, dooms the relationship.” “Never take someone for granted, hold every person─ who comes into your circle of influence─ close to your heart because U might wake up one day and realize that U have lost a DIAMOND while U were too busy collecting stones.” “Knowledge is power and the education of our children is to empower them with knowledge to grow to their potential, compete for their place in the community, and contribute to the furtherance of community’s power of knowledge.” “Life is a journey and we all travel alone with encounters with many fellow travelers. It’s the harmony and unconditional love we hope for in all our encounters. For harmony to exist and unconditional love to grow; we must first recognize that…” These quotes are from my grandmother’s bag of wisdom and sound like sermons… and I apologize for that. However, most great women like your mother are also wise women… and most wise women, like my grand mother, think alike. So, that’s the question… and I really would like to read your book. Our films are aimed at younger audiences worldwide ─ over 700 million English-speaking middle class ─ that are looking for more spice from Hollywood and Bollywood. However, we are not making mythological movies that are fabulously unreal. We’re just keeping it real, entertaining, and thrilling. RKNet Studios and George Fernandez are producing new generation digital media films in the tradition of Bollywood and Hollywood... and utilizing global talent with local resources to produce full feature films for audiences world-wide. The language in our movies is English... with Hinglish and Spanglish subtitles. RKNet develops and produces quality motion pictures in Hollywood style while using Bollywood sensibilities... by utilizing valuable resources, tax credits, and industry wide relationships to maintain studio quality production at the ‘independent’ budget level. We are packaging and producing digital media projects that are as compelling as they are commercially viable.
