My career in film and TV all started while sitting next to a film graduate in my masters program. After we made friends he invited me out on to a set to learn how to boom operate on one of his documentaries. From then on I felt like I had finally found where I was passionate about working, the film and television industry. Since then I have amassed a 4 track recorder with SMPTE TC (Edirol R-4 Pro 80gb with 4 pre-amps and built in mixer), an industry standard shotgun mic (Sennheiser MKH 416, with Rode Blimp and deadcat/ 9' Ktek boom pole), 3 x Sennheiser G3 Wireless systems, 3 x Countryman B6 1/10" lav mics, 2 x Zoom H4N's for smaller indie projects with micro budgets and most importantly an amazing list of experiences and lifelong new friends who also share my same passion of great quality film making. In addition to Boom Operating and Sound Mixing, I also gained experience in the realm of Digital Assets and Media Production/DIT specifically most commonly I work with the RED series of camera systems. I am currently operating a 8gb Macbook Pro quad core 15", with R3D Data Manager for data check sum verification of R3D footage transfers. RED Cine-X (first pass color correction experience as well), The Adobe creative suite, as well as FCP. When I clean up audio in post I use Soundtrack Pro which allows me to bridge import and export/re-import back into the session. Lastly I have also begun my acting career within the last year, focusing heavily on indie, and student film projects to prepare me for larger roles and I will be actively seeking representation in the Spring of next year after compiling my video acting demo reel.
