Hi all,

It's great to meet you. My name is Katelyn and I'm new here! I lived in NYC for about 8 years then Los Angeles and recently moved outside of Johannesburg, South Africa, where my partner is based. I'm an Executive Producer + Director with a specialty in marketing + content strategy. I have started my own company, Slingshot Films (www.slingshotfilms.net). After working years in scripted, doc + recently commercial, I have brought all of my knowledge and contacts to venture (nervously) into my own business! Another goal is to work with American clients looking to still create impactful content but do not have the US budgets anymore due to the recession + pandemic and don't need to be on set and we can shoot in SA and in turn bringing more local jobs to SA. Also looking to shoot docs + films in SA as well.

Hi guys, I'm a South African screenwriter whose quite new to the game. I unfortunately have no network as I'm just starting out. That's why I joined Stage 32. I finished my first screenplay which I'm thrilled about, now I hope there's someone out there who would be willing to take a look and give me guidance, while I seek out an indie producer.
