Hello!

My name is Pilar Mauri; I am an international visual artist. Fine Art Dance and Portrait Photographer and Set Designer.

Shortly after receiving B.A. honours in Fine Art Photography and Visual Communication, I developed a career combining my two passions, Photography and Set Design.

My mysterious Dance images are intoxicated with light, colour and movement. My ethereal Portraits, show beauty, elegance, excess, dramaturge with a dash of dark fairy-tale.

Whilst constantly exploring self-motivated Projects, I have been commissioned by Dancers, Choreographers, Dance and Theatre Companies in Portrait and Advertising Photography.

After ten years as a Professional Photographer, in January 2013 I founded Studio 1897 (London) with Alan Clyde (Art Director).

I have an extensive client list that includes commissions from The Royal Ballet (London);
The Royal Ballet School (London); The Scottish Ballet (Glasgow); The Birmingham Royal Ballet (Birmingham); The English National Ballet (London); The School of American Ballet (NYC); Martha Graham Center of Contemporary Dance (NYC); Ballet Flamenco de Madrid (Madrid); Los Vivancos Flamenco Dance Company (Barcelona); Ballet Nacional de España (Madrid) to name a few.
