About me:

Vince J. Trenton, born & raised on February 2nd in Zurich, Switzerland, is a german, english, italian & spanish speaking professional actor & self-employed filmmaker. After gaining his first acting experience in German-speaking countries between 2010 & 2015, he moved to London, UK in 2016 where he started his film & acting career. His last film project, "Amalia's Legacy", in which he worked as a director, producer, actor, & screenwriter for his BA in Film & Media Production, was released in June 2024. His next project will be released in 2025.

My Work Behind the Camera:

As a filmmaker, I focus on exploring multifaceted themes, with the mental health of artists being a central focus. I'm particularly interested in authentically & empathetically portraying the struggles & challenges artists face in their lives & creative journeys. My projects are characterized by dark & serious elements that evoke a powerful emotional response while also providing space for reflection. I intentionally craft this atmosphere through deliberate use of lighting, editing techniques, & seamless transitions, aiming to create an aesthetically captivating yet profoundly meaningful experience. My goal is to produce films that are both narratively & visually engaging, marked by a distinct personal signature. I see my work as a blend of artistic expression & psychological analysis, inviting viewers to engage with the depicted themes on a deeper level. Each project is an opportunity to explore new creative approaches & add further dimensions to my style.

My Work in Front of the Camera:

As an actor, I feel most at ease in roles defined by complexity and internal contradictions. I specialize in portraying dark characters with combined personality disorders, who captivate through their intelligence, unpredictability, & emotional depth. These figures allow me to strike a balance between darkness & humanity, making them both authentic and multifaceted. My approach to these roles is deeply influenced by my own personality & life experiences. It's important to me not only to portray the conflicts & challenges these characters face convincingly, but also to imbue them with a personal touch. I place great emphasis on nuances in facial expressions, gestures, & speech to capture the depth of the character & leave a lasting impact on the audience. I view each role as an opportunity to better understand both myself & human nature. My goal is to establish a connection with the audience through my performances, taking them on an emotional journey.

In addition, I wrote a supporting scientific thesis that shows the interaction & mental health between actors & other participants. The title of this thesis is: „What measures can be taken to increase public recognition and preservation of the acting profession, particularly to better protect and promote young talent in the field of mental health?“. It’s the continuation of my previous project „Amalia’s Prime (Drama, Germany 2023). Plot from the predecessor: The story revolves around a young drama student who’s very ambitious in pursuing her dream, but still has difficulties in getting her private life under control. In doing so, she not only reaches her own psychological limits, but also endangers her relationships with her fellow human beings. 5 year later, after the event of „Amalia’s Prime“: Amalia, a 40-year-old actress who has built a successful career in the theatre & film industry, faces unexpected challenges when the industry takes a downturn. Struggling with scarce job opportunities & personal setbacks, she finds solace in mentoring Valentina, a bullied teenager with dreams of acting. Inspired by Valentina's resilience, Amalia takes a bold step to start her own acting school, aiming to empower young people facing adversity. As she navigates this new chapter, unexpected reunions & revelations force her to confront her past & embrace her role as a mentor.

In addition, I wrote a supporting scientific thesis that shows the interaction & mental health between actors & other participants. The title of this thesis is: „What methods can be used to protect and improve both the professional and health position of an actor, including dealing with other participants in the industry?“. The story revolves around a young drama student who’s very ambitious in pursuing her dream, but still has difficulties in getting her private life under control. In doing so, she not only reaches her own psychological limits, but also endangers her relationships with her fellow human beings: Amalia, a 35-year-old lady from Stuttgart, Germany who’s currently attending an acting school, which is also in Stuttgart. She’s an aspiring, ambitious & talented drama student & in each class she attends she gives her highest physical & mental performance to fulfill her childhood dream. However, the only obstacle that bothers her is dealing with her fellow students & the lecturers. She’s often bullied & discriminated against because of her old age, since her fellow students are all between 15 & 20 years old. Their lecturers ignore this situation because they’re overwhelmed. In the last year of her training, performing her final showcase at a public theatre, she not only wins the heart & recognition of the audience & the school administration, but is also the only graduate to be accepted by a well-known agency.
