For nearly a decade Karina Wilson was the in-house story consultant for IM Global which financed or produced over 30 Hollywood feature films and controlled a library of over 300 films including PARANORMAL ACTIVITY, INSIDIOUS, SINISTER and A HAUNTED HOUSE. While at IM Global she worked on many of their titles including SECRET IN THEIR EYES with Nicole Kidman and Julia Roberts, 13 SINS, and THE CIRCLE with Tom Hanks and Emma Watson. She also served as story consultant for Blumhouse. In addition, Karina, along with Rob Zombie, John Carpenter, Sid Haig, Tom Savini and many others, can currently be seen on screen discussing horror in the multi award winning documentary THE HISTORY OF METAL AND HORROR. She specializes in genre movies and adaptations (particularly horror and romance) but works in all genres and formats. Being British living in LA she brings a wealth of international experience to her development projects and is currently developing a series of Thrillers for British TV. Karina is considered an expert in the Horror genre and her analysis of horror trends through the decades has been featured in the WSJ, on NPR, in medical textbooks and in documentaries alongside luminaries such as Jason Blum, Joe Dante, and Andy Muschietti. Q: How do I watch my webinar live?

Q: What is the format of a webinar?
A: Stage 32 Next Level Webinars are typically 90-minute educational broadcasts that take place online using a designated software program from Stage 32. The Pitch Tank Webcast with Special Guest Literary Manager Mike Diaz
During this webcast, the Writers' Room welcomes special guest, Literary Manager Mike Diaz of The Coronel Group to critique members' pitches. The Coronel Group is a literary and talent management company based in LA that has a roster of A-List Actors, including Alan Tudyk (Disney Animated Films), Adan Gillen ("GAME OF THRONES"), and Robert Patrick (TERMINATOR -franchise). Mike focusses on project development for Coronel Group's screenwriters and directors through the literary division. Mike has over 10 years of experience representing Actors, writers, and Directors, and he had some excellent insights for those members who pitched. This month we heard pitches for television and features, including a Thriller, Drama, Coming-of-Age story, and more! And two members had their scripts requested by Mike after the session!

During this Pitch Tank, Jason Mirch is joined by Jonny Perl the Associate Producer at Cinemation, a company built by the creative minds behind features and television including Disney's The Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid, DreamWorks' & Netflix's "The Mr. Peabody & Sherman Show", Stuart Little. This month, Jason is excited to welcome producer Regina Lee into the Writers' Room Pitch Tank! Regina's resume is very impressive! She has sold pilots to HBO, Starz, FOX, BET, as well as multiple TV pilots at 20th Century Fox TV Studios. She produced two TV movie thrillers that aired on Lifetime. As a production company executive with a deal at CBS Network, she was on the team that sold multiple projects to CBS and The CW, getting a show on the air at CBS. She began her executive career at Universal Pictures, where she was the primary executive in charge of American Wedding and Curious George. She was a studio executive in charge of movies such as The Good Shepherd (Matt Damon, Angelina Jolie, Robert DeNiro), The Fast & the Furious 3, Bridget Jones 2, The Cat in the Hat, Seabiscuit, and Red Dragon. Over an hour and a half, Regina and Jason listen and critique pitches from Writers' Room members and offer advice on how to help your pitch break out in a crowded market!
