About William

Study at one of the UK's top Broadcast schools. I have been filming since 2012 and since then, I have gain contacts to National Radio Station (Free Radio) and top UK leading concert organisers Live Nation.

I am currently a student at the Birmingham Ormiston Academy (BOA) studying Level 3 BTEC Extended Diploma in Creative Media Production. I specialise in Broadcast which covers areas of TV/Film and Radio. I aspire to be a Director and Cameraman and pursue a career within the film industry.

From a very young age, I have had an interest in what happens behind the scenes of making a film. Studying the Level 2 BTEC in Creative Media Production has given me a greater insight into the industry and I have had the experience of using a diverse number of industry cameras from a Canon 5D (Mark III), JVC HG 100E, to Panasonic HVX 200. This has given me the opportunity to create my own projects for BOA and also outside interest. I am motivated the most when I am working on the production stage of a project, and this has given be the desire to continue working in this area. FIlm and television have been and continue to be a huge influence in almost every area of my life.

In the last year, I have become a Film Ambassador for Arts Connect West Midlands and have taken part in film workshops and met with film distributors and production companies. The aim of this has been to create exciting film experiences and attract new audiences for young people which go beyond the mainstream ‘film and popcorn’. This has helped me to improve my communication skills and further my commitment to work within this industry.
