Heather Daughtry

Growing up, Heather has always been immersed in the arts from performing in musicals and plays, playing the violin, and taking dance classes. The entertainment industry has always been a strong passion of hers. In 2012, Heather graduated from California State University Long Beach with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies and a minor in Music. During her undergraduate career, Heather was heavily involved on campus. One of her fondest memories as it relates to her career was her role in the University Program Council. There, she project-managed multiple student-run events such as noontime concerts, speaker series, DJ Battles, a high-budgeted campus fashion show, and other events created and produced by the team. During the summer months, Heather held multiple internships including one in the Development and Awards department at Film Independent working on the LA Film Festival and Spirit Awards, Mandalay Entertainment where she got her first taste of script coverage and serving as an administrative assistant to the CEO, and experience at HRI Talent Agency in casting. Heather also has 4 years of Radio Disney under her belt where she was a part of the Marketing and Promotions team working on live events for various clients and talent including the first annual Radio Disney Music Awards. In 2014, Heather co-wrote, directed and starred in the highly reviewed play, "Purpose Filled". This dramatic comedy play parallels the traditional Christmas story with a modern twist focusing on young adults seeking to find their purpose in life. Since then, Heather moved to working in Corporate America with Marketing positions at Cinedigm and more recently at NBCUniversal in their Home Entertainment division. Heather's next move includes getting back into writing. She is currently spearheading a few creative projects of her own that are currently in development. She looks forward to her next creative journey; something challenging and rewarding within the industry.
