About JB

Born Jacob Burrage in Jackson, MS, JB Burrage grew up in Meridian, MS. At 10 years of age, JB Burrage began writing as a way of expressing his thoughts, as he wasn't much of a talker at that time. During that time, he wrote short scripts that were performed in the classroom for his elementary and middle school classes. After graduation from high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Army, where he served from 1999 until 2010, and was assigned to various parts of the United States and overseas.

After stepping away from writing in 1999 to focus on his Army career, he came on the scene full-force in 2005 and has written two sci-fi manuscripts, a contemporary fiction novel, short stories, several plays, and ten-minute plays. He's currently developing one of his stories into a screenplay. He also worked briefly as a real estate agent in Las Cruces, NM, and received an Associate's degree in Business Management from New Mexico State University - Dona Ana Community College in May 2014. He's currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Georgia State University in Atlanta, GA.
